Random Thought #1

I’m going to start a series of random thoughts… since they are random, I cannot guarantee how often these will appear.

Here’s one to get started

Random Thought #1:
Spent an hour bitching to my ex and realized it is so much easier to gossip with an ex as opposed to someone new in your life. For the simple reason that your ex already knows whom you are talking (in this case bitching) about, there's no need to explain anything in terms of background story, cause he knows it all, and to top it all, through trial and error, he pretty much knows exactly what to tell me too.

Everywhere I go...

The below song is a dedication to my brother Amrish. We wrote this song in complete haste only because he was in one of his music composing moods! Its based on a personal experience when traveled to B’ham, N. Ireland, Cyprus, Delhi and Mumbai. Its just a song that was written randomly, but from the heart. Hope you’ll like it as much as much we enjoyed making it  J   Everywhere I’ve been I’ve heard the same sound, The sound of people and the sound of cars The cries of children, mingled with laughter The bursts of horn, the obscenity Yet everywhere I go I’m different to them, Is this what they call hell today? Everywhere I’ve been I’ve heard the same sound, The sound of people and the sound of dogs The neighbor’s dog barking, all night disturbing The construction guy going on and on Yet everywhere I go I’m different to them Is this what they call hell today? People with Afros, People with Gold The Oil-rich mofos, And the people with Om ...

Humanity gone for a toss!

Everyday cannot be Sunday… but then again, every 7 days it can be right? I’ll understand if someone thinks the above line is lame… but that’s the point! Why sulk when there is a positive side to life? Recently, my man and I were discussing about a particular set of people (elite) who give lame excuses to prove how unhappy their life is. How they worry so much about money more than anything else. How they feel that they weren’t able to achieve anything in life… blah blah blah. This got him and me thinking about our achievements. Mind you, neither he nor I are from well-off families. We belong to the vast majority of middle class families where we just manage to make ends meet. Where buying something from Jimmy Choo is a far-away thought and would require a pocket-money-saving of 4 months, instead just make do with Marks & Spencer. But then, we aren’t complaining… we are happy, contended, and yes, most definitely working towards having a better future. But not complaini...

Dubai Metro...

By now I'm damn sure this subject has been covered by many. However, I don’t mean to say anything good or bad about the metro service… because no matter what people say, it’s the most useful God-blessed service for me (I don’t drive). Anyway, this is about the chandelier hanging on at the Khalid Bin Al Waleed Station. Has no one ever noticed it? As I seem to recall, of all that I read about the Dubai metro, no one commented on its interior decoration… rather unbelievable! In any case, below is a snap I took from my phone. Unfortunately, it’s not as clear as required, nor is it detailed to my satisfaction, but it’ll have to do for now… My first thought, first image to my mind, as soon as I saw the chandelier was – a bunch of used hanging condoms… am I not spot on? Look closely… Well, on doing some research I learnt that they were trying to depict a jelly fish… only it looks more like a bunch of used-n-abused condoms!
