Not in Hindi ever again! Promise...

After my first (and last) disastrous attempt at writing in Hindi, I solemnly swear on my blog never to repeat the mistake!

It’s amazing how many laughs (not counting swears) I received over it. To those who laughed, fuck you bitches... and to those who swore, ditto!

I get it people, I won’t bother again. In order to make it up to my mates (who felt tortured just reading it), here’s something me and my cousin were working on yesterday. Unfortunately, this one is heavier on music than lyrics. I’m hopeless with notes, else would’ve provided that for the music readers. However, I can help with the fact that the music is very 80’s style, heavier on the keyboard than guitar.

This one is to all my friends. I won’t name them (if I forget anyone, I’ll be in shit trouble). And please consider this a big THANK YOU to all those lovely people who always paid my tab for I’m forever broke!

I know it isn’t much; we are still working on it. Should there be any "better" developments made to it, I’ll post that as well. Till then, imagine what this would sound like!

A walk by the beach, be it all alone
Shisha with friends, bill being torn
These are the days I miss the most!
Are these the days you miss the most?

Money I stole from mums purse
Classes I bunked & incomplete notes
These are the days I miss the most!
Are these the days you miss the most?

Trips to the park, games we played
Trips to the zoo, animals we fed
These are the days I miss the most!
Are these the days you miss the most?

Humanity gone for a toss!

Everyday cannot be Sunday… but then again, every 7 days it can be right? I’ll understand if someone thinks the above line is lame… but that’s the point! Why sulk when there is a positive side to life? Recently, my man and I were discussing about a particular set of people (elite) who give lame excuses to prove how unhappy their life is. How they worry so much about money more than anything else. How they feel that they weren’t able to achieve anything in life… blah blah blah. This got him and me thinking about our achievements. Mind you, neither he nor I are from well-off families. We belong to the vast majority of middle class families where we just manage to make ends meet. Where buying something from Jimmy Choo is a far-away thought and would require a pocket-money-saving of 4 months, instead just make do with Marks & Spencer. But then, we aren’t complaining… we are happy, contended, and yes, most definitely working towards having a better future. But not complaini...

DISASTROUS HOLI!

I know usually everyone enjoys Holi. I’m personally not a great fan… but my family is, so I do join them in the celebration. This year, like every year, we went to Creek Park. Not sure who were the organizers; however 89.1 Radio 4 fm was one of them. Below are 10 points why this year it was disastrous: 1               The music sucked big time… mind you, it was all Indians organizing an Indian festival, without the knowledge of which festival! They just wouldn’t play HOLI songs! 2               They hired a comedian to perform right in the midst of the celebration… trust me, it’s just not worth the details! No one heard it either, most left… 3               The suppo-sed ‘STAR OF THE NIGHT’ Monali Thakur, who was lip syncing songs for us, got all pepped up, prepared the audienc...

Dubai Metro...

By now I'm damn sure this subject has been covered by many. However, I don’t mean to say anything good or bad about the metro service… because no matter what people say, it’s the most useful God-blessed service for me (I don’t drive). Anyway, this is about the chandelier hanging on at the Khalid Bin Al Waleed Station. Has no one ever noticed it? As I seem to recall, of all that I read about the Dubai metro, no one commented on its interior decoration… rather unbelievable! In any case, below is a snap I took from my phone. Unfortunately, it’s not as clear as required, nor is it detailed to my satisfaction, but it’ll have to do for now… My first thought, first image to my mind, as soon as I saw the chandelier was – a bunch of used hanging condoms… am I not spot on? Look closely… Well, on doing some research I learnt that they were trying to depict a jelly fish… only it looks more like a bunch of used-n-abused condoms!
