Public opinion!

While talking to my bro-in-law yesterday, we saw an advert of desperate housewives. Now, I’m not exactly a fan of TV watching, I prefer reading over TV. I expressed my wish to someday watch an episode of desperate housewives. Here’s how he describes it…

There are 4 women… all desperate enough to sleep with the gardener, the cleaner, the neighbors husband and of course, the common neighbor himself! Should anything go wrong medically, they visit the doctor, only to land up on his bed. And coincidently, he would be the only doctor, and everyone would land up sleeping with him.

Having already been married to cheating husbands, the 4 women fight over their husbands, others husbands, the gardener, the cleaner and of course the common neighbor.

As the seasons progress, they have kids, who go to schools with real good looking teacher, who again everyone has had a chance with. On the way home, should they get a parking or speeding ticket, then that lady will also have her way with the policeman.

In the earlier seasons there were 4 women and now there are 5. But the story line remains the same!

DISASTROUS HOLI!

I know usually everyone enjoys Holi. I’m personally not a great fan… but my family is, so I do join them in the celebration. This year, like every year, we went to Creek Park. Not sure who were the organizers; however 89.1 Radio 4 fm was one of them. Below are 10 points why this year it was disastrous: 1               The music sucked big time… mind you, it was all Indians organizing an Indian festival, without the knowledge of which festival! They just wouldn’t play HOLI songs! 2               They hired a comedian to perform right in the midst of the celebration… trust me, it’s just not worth the details! No one heard it either, most left… 3               The suppo-sed ‘STAR OF THE NIGHT’ Monali Thakur, who was lip syncing songs for us, got all pepped up, prepared the audienc...

Random Thought #4

During one of many mundane conversations with a friend, we stumbled upon the topic of people being judgmental.  Won't bore myself by even attempting to recall the details, but here's me sharing a summarized conclusion of that discussion.  Your choices are for you to understand and others to judge.  If it's in ones core nature to be judgmental, no matter what you say or how much you justify, they'll continue to judge you. But if it's not in their core nature to be judgmental, then no matter what you do, they won't.  It's just a lengthy yet acceptable way of saying fuck 'em.  Sent from my iPhone
